This course builds on the experience of the Five Day Facilitator Training, which is a pre-requisite. Normal format: 3 days every 2 months over a year.
An important part of the training is the way in which the group itself takes on increasing responsibility for aspects of facilitation, including planning, review, supervision, and feedback. So the group itself has a real influence in shaping the course to meet its needs.
Elements which are likely to be included at each module:
· Checking in and updating
· Facilitation Skills
· Group process
· Process Circle and Advanced Process Circle
· Participant led sessions incorporating the “Buddy” and Feedback. (Over the length of the course each participant is expected to facilitate at least one hour-long session in an area of their own choosing.)
· Clinics - for examining work-based issues.
· Peer Groups and Home Groups. (Home Groups are geographically based so that people have the possibility of meeting between workshops.)
In addition each module includes sessions on the following suggested themes. These may be facilitated by a combination of Jo May-Prussak, group members and possibly visiting associates.
