Alchemical Sovereignty
Caitlin Matthews & Felicity Wombwell.

As we grow older, our bodies change and our priorities alter. What once satisfied us is no longer desired. We seem to have outgrown the self we once inhabited and yet the self we are becoming is not yet fully realised. Drawing upon the principles underlying renaissance magic, alchemy and philosophy we will identify the authentic self that we are becoming so that we can attain true sovereignty over our lives.

Alchemical sovereignty is the fruit of accepting the transformative potential seeded within each of us. We become sovereign of our lives by finding the right balance between our environment and our vision. But the full expression of our potential may be impeded by old stories, plans and wishes. By the time we arrive in middle life, we may experience frustration at not having achieved the plans of our youth. This course helps rewrite the script for the emerging self and prepare the way ahead.

This course is for those journeying from their youthful self towards their more mature self. Changes of body, outlook and spiritual perspective will be considered. We will work through shamanic journeying, ritual and the creative arts of dance, writing, song and drawing in order to explore, deprogramme and reprogramme the elemental humours of our existence so that our emerging self can achieve its quintessence - the full potential of our soul.

Participants should be able to make shamanic journeys and have trusting relationships with allies in each of the the three worlds. This course is open to men and women. Only 20 places available.
