Core Process Psychotherapy is based on a depth understanding of human personality and potential.

The'Core' is our inherent unconditioned state, our true potential in which the qualities of peace, loving kindness, compassion and joy manifest.

Our experiences in life, from our first moments, condition us and move us away from the Core. Each of us shapes our personality into a unique form, which we identify as'me' and through which we relate to the outer world.

Core Process Psychotherapy aims to support a developing awareness of this shaping process and how it can limit us. In this greater awareness, our Core qualities can emerge more into our daily lives and relationships.

The introductory weekend will provide you with an overview of Core Process Psychotherapy. Buddhist theories of mind will be outlined, together with Western psychotherapeutic theory, and both of these interwoven with experiential exercises.

The weekend is open to anyone interested in psychotherapy in general as well as for those who wish to know more about Buddhist inspired psychotherapy. More information about Core Process Psychotherapy and the training programs at the Karuna Institute will be available at the weekend.

Sue Taylor and Cheryl Allen are trainers at the Karuna Institute, Devon, which offers a UKCP recognised training in Core Process Psychotherapy, inspired by Buddhist practice and psychotherapy. Sue and Cheryl are both UKCP registered Psychotherapists.

Times Friday 4.00-Sunday 1.00pm

Costs of weekends £250, including non-refundable deposit of £50. Delicious vegetarian food and shared accommodation included.
Last date for booking For February Introductory 17th January 2003. For July Introductory 18th June 2003

There will be Foundation Courses starting at CAER in March and September.
